TED LEAMY JOINS JBL PROFESSIONAL AS GENERAL MANAGER OF THE JBL CUSTOM SHOP

NORTHRIDGE, CA - JBL Professional today announced the appointment of Ted Leamy as General Manager of JBL's Custom Shop. With 22 years of experience at the world-class sound reinforcement company Electrotec, Leamy brings a wide range of pro audio and tour sound experience to the JBL Custom Shop.
"We are delighted that, after more than 20 years at one of the premier sound companies in the world, Ted Leamy has opted to join us at JBL Pro," stated Michael MacDonald, President of JBL Professional. "His vast experience with using, evaluating and designing speaker cabinets and knowledge of JBL components will let Ted immediately contribute to the capabilities of our Custom Shop."
From 1978 to 2000, Leamy held a number of positions at Electrotec. From his entry level position through his later positions of Vice President and Managing Director, Leamy worked with and managed all levels of sound reinforcement and tour sound. Much of his tenure was spent on the road working with hundreds of headlining acts including Rod Stewart, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bob Dylan, Rush and Def Leppard. This wealth of experience and extensive tour background allow Leamy to add a unique perspective to the JBL Custom Shop." The JBL Custom Shop was founded to support the needs of audio contractors and installers with the need for custom speaker enclosures.
